BYC Exposed as Terror Proxy: ‘Missing Persons’ Linked to Deadly Attacks, Say Security Sources

ISLAMABAD: In a major development, security sources have revealed undeniable evidence connecting the banned terrorist group Fitna-al-Hindustan with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), exposing a deliberate attempt to disguise terrorists as so-called “missing persons.”

According to security officials, Suhaib Langov, a terrorist affiliated with Fitna-al-Hindustan who was recently killed in a counter-terrorism operation in Kalat on July 21, 2025, was listed by BYC as a “missing person.” Sources say that this is not an isolated case — multiple terrorists who were neutralized in past operations had also been falsely portrayed as victims of enforced disappearances.

Among them are Karim Jan, who was killed in the March 2024 Gwadar attack, and Abdul Wadood, involved in the attack on a Naval Base — both of whom were listed by the BYC as missing. Authorities state this is a deliberate strategy to shield terrorists and malign state institutions.

Security sources further disclosed that social media is flooded with images and videos showing Suhaib Langov participating in protests alongside Mahrang Langov, a prominent figure in the BYC. Mahrang, they allege, has consistently exploited the narrative of missing persons for “nefarious motives” and to discredit the state.

“Credible evidence indicates that BYC is functioning as a proxy of Fitna-al-Hindustan,” a senior security official stated, adding that “masked individuals in BYC-led protests are in fact facilitators or operatives of terrorist networks.”

The report adds that media outlets such as Pank and BAM — said to have affiliations with Fitna-al-Hindustan — falsely claimed on July 25, 2024, that Suhaib Langov was forcibly disappeared from Killi Sariab, Quetta, on July 24, 2024. This, despite the fact that Fitna-al-Hindustan itself publicly acknowledged Langov’s affiliation and his death in combat.

“Those who are portrayed as missing persons are increasingly being revealed as active members of terrorist groups targeting unarmed and innocent Pakistanis,” the sources said.

Authorities are now urging the public and media to exercise caution and not fall for misleading narratives that serve the interests of foreign-backed terror networks under the guise of human rights activism.
