Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has granted transit bail to Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in multiple cases until December 23.
The hearing, presided over by Justice Waqar Ahmed, focused on her applications for transit bail. Bushra Bibi’s lawyer informed the court that she had sought bail in 27 cases to facilitate her appearances in various courts. In response, the Additional Attorney General argued that she should directly approach the respective courts. Justice Waqar Ahmed clarified, “We grant transit bail to facilitate her appearance in the appropriate courts.”
Although the petitioner’s lawyer requested an extension for over 50 cases requiring her presence, Justice Waqar Ahmed declined, citing the approaching winter vacations and the limited time available.

In a separate hearing, a two-member bench led by Justice SM Atiq Shah reviewed a petition related to Bushra Bibi’s summons. Justice Shah allowed additional time for her lawyer to prepare, deferring the hearing to the end of the court’s schedule. The court emphasized that Bushra Bibi’s presence would only be required when necessary, ensuring adherence to legal procedures and the timely resolution of cases.
