British High Commissioner Meets JUI Chief to Discuss Pakistan-India Tensions

On the occasion, Maulana Fazl criticized India’s behavior by calling it irresponsible. 

ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner Jane Marriott and Political Secretary Sam Fletcher visit the residence of JUI chief Maulana Fazlur.

Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and the recent tensions between Pakistan and India during the meeting. They also talked about international and regional situations, especially the current India-Pakistan conflict and its impact on peace in the region.

On the occasion, Maulana Fazl criticized India’s behavior by calling it irresponsible.

He said that India was blaming Pakistan for its security failures and that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was pushing both countries’ people towards war just to save his political position.

Fazl urged the United Kingdom and the international community to play their role in reducing tensions between the two countries.

Maulana Fazl also stated that both the government and the opposition are united for the defense of the country. He said the nation will face Modi’s actions with unity and strength.
