Breakthrough Likely on Pakistan India T20 World Cup Match

Decision Expected Soon on Pakistan India Clash in T20 World Cup

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A significant development is expected within the next 24 to 48 hours regarding the much-anticipated Pakistan-India match in the ICC T20 World Cup, sources revealed on Sunday.

According to insiders, the International Cricket Council has shown flexibility in response to concerns raised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, which had objected to what it described as unfair treatment. Multiple options were discussed to address Bangladesh’s reservations and ensure balance in the tournament arrangements.

The Pakistan Cricket Board played a central mediating role throughout the process. ICC official Imran Khawaja has reportedly departed to secure final approval for the proposed framework, while the BCB chairman is expected to brief the Bangladeshi government on the latest progress.

PCB and ICC Near Breakthrough to Secure Marquee India Clash

Once agreement is reached on the proposed solution, formal consultations between the ICC and the concerned cricket boards will resume. If consensus is achieved, the PCB will then seek clearance from the Pakistani government.

Sources added that Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates have also encouraged Pakistan to reconsider its position on the issue. The final call on whether Pakistan will face India is expected to be taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with Pakistan likely to agree to the match if its conditions are formally accepted.
