mid worsening floods, the Punjab Home Department has asked for Pakistan Army deployment in Hafizabad to support relief operations. Earlier, troops were sought in Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and Narowal. With Hafizabad added, eight districts now require Army assistance. Officials said troop numbers will be decided with local administrations for effective rescue and relief work.
