Brave Pakistani Soldiers Honored in Funeral Ceremony

President Zardari Commends Brave Soldiers’ Sacrifice for Motherland.
Mir Ali, North Waziristan: The funeral prayers for the Pakistan Army officers martyred in a recent attack were offered yesterday in Mir Ali, North Waziristan. According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif and Captain Muhammad Ahmed, who made the ultimate sacrifice, were laid to rest with full military honors in Chaklala Garrison.
The funeral prayers were attended by President Asif Zardari, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Foreign Minister, the Interior Minister, senior military and civil officials, and other dignitaries, as per the ISPR.
Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali, aged 39, hailed from Karachi, while 23-year-old Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar was a resident of Talagang. The bodies of the martyrs were transported to their ancestral villages, where they will be buried with full military honors, according to the ISPR.
On this occasion, the President of Pakistan remarked that the Pakistan Army has consistently upheld the principles of faith, unity, and discipline. He praised the army’s unwavering commitment to the fight against terrorism, showcasing professionalism and loyalty of the highest caliber.

President Asif Ali Zardari stated that brave sons have never hesitated to sacrifice for the defense of the motherland, and the entire nation stands in solidarity with our armed forces.
He emphasized that the supreme sacrifice made by these courageous soldiers is a testament to their unwavering resolve. It is worth remembering that in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, seven soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel and Captain, were martyred in a terrorist attack on a security checkpoint, with six terrorists killed in the retaliatory action.
