Bomb Blast Targets Levies Officer’s Vehicle in Balochistan’s Qila Abdullah
Qila Abdullah: A bomb explosion outside the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office in Qila Abdullah, Balochistan, on Wednesday evening targeted a vehicle belonging to a Levies Force investigation officer. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Local authorities confirmed that the blast occurred as the officer was leaving the office to head home. The Levies vehicle, carrying the officer and one other personnel, was passing through the area when the explosion took place. The explosion was reportedly caused by a bomb planted in the main sewer line drain of Qila Abdullah city.
The Assistant Commissioner of Qila Abdullah stated that while it appears the vehicle was the target, it remains uncertain whether the explosion was a deliberate attack on the Levies personnel or if the vehicle was simply in the vicinity at the time of the blast. Security forces have cordoned off the area to prevent further incidents and are conducting investigations to determine the nature of the explosion.
