Bilawal wants to introduce new style of politics
Politics revolving around hatred not going to be great for country: Bilawal said.
QUETTA: Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said on Saturday that there was a dire need to introduce a new style of politics.
Addressing the party workers in Quetta, the former foreign minister said, “In 2018, it was said that that particular leader is an angle and the rest of them are opposite. Now in this year, efforts are underway to portray somebody else as an angle.”
“The politics revolving around hatred are not going to be great for our country,” Bhutto-Zardari said.
He took a dig at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, “The deposed premier wanted to convert all the institutions of the state into the Tiger Force.”
Highlighting the importance of his party, Bhutto-Zardari asserted, “It is important for the PPP to form the government in a bid to address all the challenges the country is facing.”
“The time has come finally to adopt the positive way to stage the politics by abandoning the hatred politics,” Bhutto-Zardari said.
Masses will spring surprise on Feb 8
Bhutto-Zardari said on Friday that the masses will spring their surprise on February 8.
Addressing the Balochistan High Court Bar Association in Quetta, the former foreign minister took a jibe at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif. “It has been said that the three-time premier will assume the office for the fourth time in a bid to steer the country out of the quagmire,” he added.
Bhutto-Zardari said: “Those who staged sit-ins in Hazara were labelled as blackmailers by the PTI chief. The masses should not allow these two people [Nawaz Sharif and PTI chief] to enter the country, who are having a typical way of staging politics.”
Underscoring the importance of steering the country in the right direction, Bhutto-Zardari said: “There is an urgent need to make the masses the stakeholders in the economy and politics of the country.”

PPP asks ECP to take notice of PTI intra-party elections
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) asked on Saturday the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) intra-party elections.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said: “Once again, there has been selection in the PTI. The PTI has been supported by an old PPP leader, Barrister Gohar Ali, who contested the 2018 elections on the ticket of the PPP.”
“The PPP has full confidence in the electoral watchdog. Nobody can even imagine the delay in the elections during the presence of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa,” the PPP leader said.
Kundi took a swipe at the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P). “The MQM-P is finding excuses to escape the general elections,” he said.
He made it clear that his party would launch the electoral campaign after the announcement of the election schedule.
“It will be up to the masses to decide the rulers at their will on February 8,” he added.
Kundi also fired a broadside at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). “The PML-N is giving the perception that the next premier of the country will be elected from that party,” he said.
