Bilawal Slams Judiciary for Overstepping Constitutional Boundaries

Everyone will have to accept constitutional court: Chairman PPP

Quetta-Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed lawyers at the Balochistan High Court Bar, expressing concerns about the judiciary’s actions under individuals like Iftikhar Chaudhry, who served as Chief Justice of Pakistan from 2005 to 2013. Bilawal criticized the judiciary’s continuous attacks on parliament, emphasizing the importance of protecting democracy.

He denied any involvement in the legal battles in Islamabad, explaining that Article 63-A was introduced to prevent floor-crossing and that every member of parliament has the right to vote according to their conscience.

Addressing lawyers at the Balochistan High Court Bar, he asserted that they would not allow any tampering with the country. He expressed his high regard for Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.

He further lamented the killing of lawyers in Balochistan, highlighting their knowledge of the province’s history and voice. He expressed sorrow over the loss suffered following the incident.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and the President of the High Court Bar, Afzal Harifal, also attended the event. The Bar President addressed the gathering, expressing lawyers’ concerns regarding constitutional amendments and advising the PPP to exercise patience.
