Bilawal sees Trump-Asim Munir meeting as positive development in Pak-US ties

“Pakistan neither seeks conflict nor is desperate for dialogue,” Bilawal remarked.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Pakistan’s Field Marshal (Army Chief) as a positive development in Pakistan-US relations.

According to media reports, speaking to the media, Bilawal said the meeting comes at a critical juncture when Trump has expressed willingness to mediate between Pakistan and India—a role India has outright rejected.

“Pakistan neither seeks conflict nor is desperate for dialogue,” Bilawal remarked. “However, we believe that peace serves the interests of both nations, and there is no military solution to any of the disputes between India and Pakistan.”
