Better Future Pakistan Crowned Norway Cup Champions in Boys U15 Category

In front of a vocal crowd, Better Future Pakistan showed composure beyond their years.

ISLAMABAD: In a moment of pride for Pakistan football, Better Future Pakistan has won the Norway Cup 2025 Boys 15 category, defeating local side FK Gjøvik-Lyn 2-0 in a commanding performance in Saturday’s final in Oslo.

The young team from Pakistan wrapped up their sensational campaign with a flawless record: nine straight victories, 38 goals scored, and just five conceded, sealing their place as one of the most dominant sides in the tournament’s prestigious history.

In front of a vocal crowd, Better Future Pakistan showed composure beyond their years. They scored twice without reply against Gjøvik-Lyn in the final, maintaining defensive discipline while showcasing the attacking flair that had brought them this far. It was a fitting conclusion to a tournament where they overwhelmed opponents with guile and precision.

The team’s journey began in Group 6, where they brushed aside Norwegian sides Stabæk Fotball 2 (8-0), Bergen Nord (3-0), and Krokelvdalen Idrettslag 2 (5-0), finishing top with a staggering +16 goal difference.

From there, Better Future Pakistan marched through the knockouts with a 4-0 win over Levanger FK, a 4-2 win over Skeid in the Round of 16, a 4-2 win over Greåker IF in the quarterfinal, before a 4-1 semifinal win over Gjelleråsen.

Their attack ranked second in goals scored (38), and their discipline also stood out, earning 16 fair play green cards, highlighting the team’s commitment to sportsmanship as much as skill.

This triumph will go down as a milestone for the Better Future Foundation, a grassroots initiative aimed at providing underprivileged youth in Pakistan with opportunities through football. The foundation’s Oslo-based arm has been actively competing in the Norway Cup for several years, and this win adds another achievement to savour.

The players’ success at the Norway Cup 2025 will raise hopes for more structured youth football development in Pakistan, especially in the absence of a strong domestic infrastructure. With the right backing, this group could form the nucleus of Pakistan’s future international squads.
