Special Rules Applied to Balance Sabalenka–Kyrgios Exhibition Match
SYDENY: Australia’s men’s tennis star Nick Kyrgios emerged victorious in the “Battle of the Sexes” exhibition match, defeating women’s world number one Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets, 6–3, 6–3.
Special rules were introduced to maintain balance between the four-time Grand Slam champion Sabalenka and Kyrgios. These included allowing only one serve per point and reducing the court size by nine percent.
The exhibition match drew significant attention as a rare crossover contest between top male and female tennis players.
