Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali shared some “crucial” advice for Indian batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, as well as Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam, following their recent performance challenges.
Ali emphasized that “Virat, Rohit, and Babar need to put up big scores to reclaim their positions among the top rankings in Test cricket.” He added, “They need to hit centuries; scores below 100 won’t satisfy fans who want to see these stars shine.”
Commenting on the upcoming third Test between India and New Zealand, Ali suggested India should consider a lineup of seven batsmen, three all-rounders, and a single fast bowler. He also proposed that Jasprit Bumrah might benefit from rest before India’s crucial series against Australia.
