Banks to Remain Closed This Thursday
The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025
ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Thursday (August 14, 2025) in observance of Independence Day.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Thursday, August 14, 2025, being a public holiday on the occasion of ‘Independence Day’ as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the central bank announced on Monday.
Subsequently, in observance of Independence Day, all banks, Micro Finance Banks and Development Finance Institutions will also remain closed on August 14, 2025.
