Bangladesh Air Force Chief Meets PAF, Discusses Strategic Collaboration
Rawalpindi (Web Desk) – A high-level defence delegation led by Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Bangladesh Air Force, visited Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, at Air Headquarters in Islamabad. The visit aimed to strengthen operational cooperation, enhance institutional synergy, and explore collaboration in training, capacity building, and aerospace technology.
The Bangladeshi Air Chief received a Guard of Honour, while Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu briefed him on the PAF’s recent advancements. Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Bangladesh Air Force with a comprehensive training framework, covering basic, advanced, and specialized courses across PAF institutions. The Chief also assured fast-tracked delivery of Super Mushshak trainer aircraft along with complete training and long-term support.

The visiting delegation praised Pakistan’s operational expertise and combat record, seeking assistance with maintenance of aging aircraft, integration of air defence radar systems, and exploring potential procurement of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. The team also visited key PAF facilities, including the National ISR & Integrated Air Operations Centre, PAF Cyber Command, and National Aerospace Science & Technology Park, observing capabilities in ISR, cyber, space, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems.
The visit highlighted the historical ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh and reinforced both nations’ commitment to deepening defence cooperation and building a long-term strategic partnership.
