Balochistan Minister Sarfraz Chakar Domki Passes Away in Karachi

QUETTA: Balochistan Municipal Minister Sardar Sarfaraz Chakar Domki, who had been battling a lung and kidney disease, passed away on Monday in Karachi.
Sarfaraz’s family revealed that the late minister had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for the past 10 days before he breathed his last today. Sarfaraz’s brother, Sardar Hair Bayar Khan Domki, said that the late minister’s body is scheduled to be shifted to Lehri in Balochistan’s Sibbi district, as he will be laid to rest in their native ancestral graveyard.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti expressed his grief and sorrow over the death of the late minister who was elected to the Balochistan Assembly from PB-8 in Sibbi on a Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) ticket.
“Sarfaraz was a shrewd, reliable politician and a tribal figure,” Bugti said.
“Sarfraz Chakar Domki always played a positive role in the political and tribal system of Balochistan and was an active member of the Balochistan cabinet,” added the CM.
CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah also expressed grief over Sarfaraz’s death. “Sarfaraz’s services for PPP will always be remembered.”
Sarfraz, as the PPPP candidate, won the Balochistan Assembly election by securing 27,677 votes.
Previously, Sarfaraz also served as the provincial minister of Balochistan Labour and Management from 2018 to 2023.
Earlier, he was the provincial minister for culture, archives and tourism in 2018.
