Balochistan Launches IT Skills Program for Youngsters

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has launched a major IT skills development initiative to empower young people across the province. Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare, Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, announced the program at a gathering of youth, tribal elders, and political leaders.

Noorzai stressed that the future of Balochistan and Pakistan depends on equipping youth with education, skills, and strong moral character. He called on parents, teachers, politicians, and religious scholars to work together to prepare the next generation for leadership.

The Social Welfare Department has started a comprehensive IT training program to boost employability and digital literacy. More than 800 male and female students will receive modern IT training in phases, giving them the skills needed for respectable jobs. The program is being run in partnership with Saylani Welfare Trust, a leader in vocational education.

The 10-month course is supported by the Social Welfare Department, which is providing buildings, halls, electricity, and other resources. A special batch of 50 differently-abled students has also been launched to ensure inclusive access to digital education.

Noorzai credited the initiative to the public-friendly vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. He said the government is committed to creating profitable, dignified employment opportunities for youth, including remote and online work.

He affirmed that it is the government’s responsibility to provide business opportunities, training, and incentives for a prosperous future. Noorzai expressed confidence that such welfare projects will transform and empower the next generation in Balochistan.
