Tragedy Averted: Rescue Operation Underway in Balochistan Coal Mine
In a harrowing incident in the region of Harnai, Balochistan, a gas explosion occurred in a coal mine, trapping 10 miners inside. Reports indicate that efforts to extract the trapped miners led to an additional 8 workers being stuck.
According to the Chief Mines Inspector, rescue teams have successfully retrieved 8 miners trapped inside the coal mine shaft, while the bodies of 4 miners have been recovered.
The rescue operation, being carried out at a depth of one thousand feet, is currently focused on extracting the remaining 6 miners who are still trapped. The Deputy Commissioner of Harnai has confirmed that two teams have been dispatched to the site to expedite the rescue efforts.
Meanwhile, taking swift action, the Chief Minister of Balochistan has ordered to expedite the rescue operation and has called for a detailed report on the incident.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the coal mine incident in the Harnai area of Balochistan. Sharif has directed efforts to expedite the rescue operations in the mines and provide all possible medical assistance to the injured miners.
“These incidents are extremely distressing and tragic. Our hearts go out to the affected families during this time of grief,” stated the Prime Minister.
He assured that the government would extend every possible relief to the injured and affected families. Meanwhile, Chief Mines Inspector reported that eight trapped miners have been successfully rescued from the coal mine, while the bodies of four deceased miners have been recovered.
The rescue operation is ongoing to retrieve the remaining six miners who are trapped at a depth of one thousand feet in the mine shaft.
