Bajas banned in Islamabad
Islamabad_Islamabad district administration has imposed a complete ban on the sale of pressure horns (Bajas) and other noise-generating items,
The administration also banned playing of such instruments on the eve of Independence Day.
Like other parts of the country, sale of flags, buntings, badges, flags matching children’s clothes and other decoration items continued in Islamabad as well.
Above all, with sale of pressure horns is on the rise in the federal capital while noise of such horns is very much an annoying factor for the citizens.
A large variety of horns is available in markets of Islamabad including at G-7, G-9, Aabpara and in areas along Islamabad Highway at different rates ranging from Rs50 to Rs500.
On the other hand, the administration is taking action on daily basis but so far failed to implement its own decision of imposing ban on the sale of horns completely.
