Hangu – IDE Blast – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – According to police reports, three police officers, including a high-ranking superintendent, lost their lives in two explosions that shook the Hangu district on Friday. The regional police chief provided details of the tragic event.
The first explosion targeted an old police checkpost. Fortunately, no officers were stationed there at the time, so no one was hurt in that initial blast. The police chief explained that this particular checkpost was often used by officers to rest during operations.
After the first blast, a police team, led by SP Asad Zubair, rushed to the scene to investigate. As their vehicle neared the checkpost, a second, much larger bomb exploded nearby.
