Ayatollah Khamenei Rejects Trump’s Threats and Peace Offer
President Trump, speaking to the Israeli parliament, had vowed to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.
TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying Trump can continue to dream but has no right to decide whether Iran should have a nuclear program.
In a recent statement, Ayatollah Khamenei questioned whether the U.S. president has the authority to tell another country what industries it should or should not have. He strongly rejected Trump’s claims about targeting Iran’s nuclear sites.
A few days earlier, President Trump, speaking to the Israeli parliament, had vowed to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities. He also expressed hope that a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran would be a positive development.

According to Iranian media, Ayatollah Khamenei rejected Trump’s offer for negotiations, saying that Trump, who refers to himself as a businessman, cannot impose a deal under pressure with predetermined outcomes. He described such an agreement as coercion, not a genuine treaty.
