Authorities foil bid to smuggle 4,750 Zenex tablets at Islamabad Airport
ANF Seizes Drugs Worth Rs17.7 Million in Nationwide Crackdown
Islamabad – (Web Desk) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully stopped a brazen attempt to smuggle thousands of drug tablets out of the country. Acting on a reliable tip-off, ANF officials intercepted a passenger at Islamabad International Airport who was getting ready to board a flight to Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Upon searching, officers discovered 4,750 Zenex tablets cleverly concealed inside sweet boxes.
But that was not all. In a series of separate crackdowns across the country, ANF carried out nine anti-narcotics operations, resulting in the arrest of 13 individuals — including two women. The total street value of all the drugs seized during these operations stands at a staggering Rs17.7 million in the international market.
In another alarming case, ANF seized two kilograms of hashish from a suspect near Hyderabad University. The accused openly confessed to regularly selling drugs to students outside educational institutions — a deeply troubling revelation that highlights the growing threat of drug pushing near schools and universities.
These swift operations reflect ANF’s continued commitment to keeping Pakistan’s streets, airports, and campuses free from the menace of narcotics.
In another operation, the ANF team recovered 30 grams of heroin from a UK-bound parcel in a courier company.

In another operation, the ANF team seized 12 kilograms of hashish from two accused near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad.
