Aurangzeb discusses structural reforms with World Bank director

Senator Aurangzeb meets World Bank Director to strengthen reforms, governance, and collaboration for Pakistan’s key development priorities.

Islamaba – (Web Desk) – Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to pushing forward structural reforms and enhancing governance systems.
He made these remarks while meeting Bolormaa Amgaabazar, the World Bank’s Country Director for Pakistan, in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration under the World Bank’s Country Partnership Framework (CPF) and advancing the government’s key reform priorities.

The minister emphasized the importance of effective operationalization of the CPF, particularly in priority areas such as population management and climate change.

The World Bank Country Director reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to working closely with both federal and provincial stakeholders and further enhancing information sharing and collaboration.

Saudi Cabinet Approves Signing Two Agreements With Pakistan

Regarding energy sector reforms and financial sustainability, both sides agreed to continue technical-level engagements to explore feasible solutions in line with Pakistan’s reform agenda and fiscal framework.
