Peshawar(Staff Reporter);Attempt to Ban Largest Party Would be ‘Undemocratic’” CM KPK, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has dismissed Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar’s announcement to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stating that no one can impose a ban on the party.
Gandapur accused the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)-led coalition of stealing PTI’s mandate and demanded the chief election commissioner’s resignation. He criticized the government’s inability to control inflation, petrol and dollar prices, and deteriorating law and order, calling those making such announcements “mentally deranged”. Gandapur’s remarks come amid rising terrorism concerns in KP, where sacrifices are being made by citizens and soldiers.

“These people give these kind of statements just to stay in the news. They can’t control inflation, surge in petrol and dollar prices as well as flagging economy,” he asserted.
Highlighting deteriorating law and order situation of the country, he said that the government was unable to improve security situation which was spiraling out of control with every passing day, adding that people representing government made on Form 47 were mentally deranged.
“Our country is facing challenges including terrorism in KP. Our people and brave soldiers are giving sacrifices for Pakistan in the face of rising tide of terrorism,” he concluded.
