“Attackers Open Fire, Judge in Critical Condition”
Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Farid was seriously injured after being shot by armed assailants in Haripur’s Chohar Sharif area.
The attack occurred as Judge Farid was entering a mosque to perform prayers. He was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Police reports indicate that the incident took place while the judge was on his way to the mosque. Authorities have launched an investigation and filed charges against the individuals involved.
The district police officer of Haripur confirmed that three out of the four suspects named in the case—Ghayoor, Jahangir, and Shehbaz—have been arrested. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fourth suspect, who remains at large.
