Atta Tarar Slams PTI for Protests During SCO Summit

It is honour for country to host SCO summit’

Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal)-Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar has strongly condemned the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party for planning protests during the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Pakistan. Tarar urged those planning protests to refrain from doing so, stating that “it is better for those looking to stage a conspiracy to sit in their houses” and emphasizing that an “extremist mindset will not be allowed to sabotage the SCO”

Tarar highlighted the government’s preparations for the summit, including a visit by the Prime Minister and Interior Minister to Islamabad to review arrangements for welcoming the Chinese Premier. He assured that security measures are in place, with the Army, Rangers, and police deployed to ensure a smooth summit.

The Minister emphasized the importance of hosting the SCO summit, calling it “a matter of honor for the country” and expressing the government’s readiness to welcome guests.

In related news, Tarar stressed the significance of digitization for Pakistan’s economic revival. He noted that 68% of the country’s population is comprised of youth and highlighted the importance of freelancers, citing Pakistan’s second-highest number of freelancers globally . Tarar also mentioned ongoing efforts to digitize the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
