Atta Tarar Pledges Unwavering Support for Reforms Process

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information, Ataullah Tarar, has assured that the government will not allow any obstacles to impede the ongoing reforms process.

Speaking to the media, Minister Tarar emphasized that the current government is working on bringing significant reforms within institutions to make them more efficient and profitable. He also highlighted the efforts to eradicate the culture of nepotism within government organizations.

He stated that there are small mafias embedded within institutions, which create challenges when attempting to implement systemic changes. However, he stressed the importance of making state-owned organizations profitable to ensure the well-being of employees.

Tarar further mentioned that the government is providing free healthcare facilities to journalists as part of its support for the media community. He called on everyone to contribute to the development of institutions and reiterated that no one would be allowed to hinder the reform process.

The minister also addressed the importance of monitoring news on digital media. He warned that individuals who spread chaos or misinformation under the guise of freedom of expression should be held accountable. He noted that the unchecked use of social media has led to people being blackmailed, with some tragically driven to suicide.

The minister concluded by stressing the need for a balanced and responsible approach to digital media to ensure the country’s stability and public welfare.
