WhatsApp Launches Event Scheduling in Private Chats for Beta Users

WhatsApp Beta Users Can Now Schedule Events with Call Links

ISLAMABAD: WhatsApp has launched a new event scheduling feature for its beta users, allowing them to create and share events directly within private one-on-one chats. Previously available only in group conversations, this functionality is now accessible to select beta testers on both Android and iOS platforms.

The feature, introduced in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.3.6 for Android and 25.2.10.73 for iOS, integrates event management within the app, eliminating the need for external calendars or third-party apps for personal appointments and meetings. Users can now input event details such as name, date, time, location, and even add a WhatsApp video or voice call link.

Accessible via the sharing menu in private chats, the new option sits alongside traditional features like camera, gallery, and document sharing. Those enrolled in the WhatsApp beta program can update their apps to test the feature, with a wider rollout expected soon for all users, including non-beta participants.
