ATC Charges Key PTI Figures in May 9 GHQ Attack Case
The hearing was adjourned until December 21, 2024, when further proceedings will take place.
Rawalpindi: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has formally charged prominent political figures, including Ali Amin Gandapur and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in the May 9 GHQ attack case during today’s hearing held at Adiala Jail. In addition to Gandapur and Qureshi, 14 other individuals, including Konwal Shozeb and Shibli Faraz, were also charged in connection with the violent incident.
During the court session, the accused denied all charges against them, pleading not guilty. Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the Rawalpindi ATC conducted the proceedings, where the prosecution presented evidence against the accused.
The court was informed that six more individuals, who are named in the case, are yet to be formally charged. The hearing was adjourned until December 21, 2024, when further proceedings will take place.

Furthermore, partial arguments were presented regarding the bail requests of the founding members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The court will hear the complete arguments on the bail applications of the PTI leader and other accused tomorrow.
The case involves the violent attacks on the GHQ in Rawalpindi on May 9, which led to widespread unrest and damage. The trial continues, with several key political figures involved.
