D.I Khan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – On Tuesday, a bomb strike in the Daraban tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan injured at least 14 security personnel.
According to security sources, the incident targeted a security forces convoy and was carried out using a remotely controlled improvised explosive device (IED).
The explosion severely destroyed a security force vehicle. The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) D.I Khan.
The attack came at a time when security forces are battling terrorists who attacked Cadet College Wana in North Waziristan. The military said a clearance operation is underway to neutralise the three terrorists who managed to infiltrate the educational institution.
Security forces added that three of the personnel are said to be in critical condition.
Following the attack, a large contingent of police and security forces reached the incident site and cordoned off the area.
A search operation was launched to sanitise the area.
