
Asia Cup Final: Pakistan Sets Target of 147 Runs Against India

Dubai: In a historic Asia Cup 2025 T20 final held at Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan has set a target of 147 runs for India to chase.
This marks the first-ever India-Pakistan final in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup, adding immense excitement among cricket fans worldwide.
Pakistan’s innings concluded at 146 runs all out in 19.1 overs after India won the toss and chose to field first.
Pakistan’s top scorer was Sahibzada Farhan, who played a brilliant innings of 57 runs off 38 balls before being caught by Varun at the team score of 84.

Following him, Saim Ayub scored 14 runs before falling to Kuldeep at 113. Mohammad Haris was dismissed without scoring.
Fakhar Zaman made a valuable contribution of 46 runs off 35 balls before also being caught by Varun at 126. Hussain Talat added just 1 run, and Salman Ali Agha scored 8 runs before getting out. Shaheen Afridi and Faheem Ashraf were dismissed without scoring towards the end of the innings.
Pakistan’s squad for the final remained unchanged, led by captain Salman Ali Agha and featuring Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
On the Indian side, all-rounder Hardik Pandya was ruled out due to injury, with Rinku Singh replacing him in the playing XI.
Earlier in the tournament, India defeated Pakistan in both matches, while Pakistan has defeated every other Asian team so far.
This final marks the sixth time Pakistan and India have met in the final of multi-nation tournaments, with Pakistan leading the head-to-head record, having won 3 of the previous 5 finals.
