Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan Lose First Wicket on Opening Ball Against India

Dubai: In a high-voltage Group A clash of the Asia Cup T20 2025, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first against arch-rivals India. The much-anticipated match is being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
However, Pakistan suffered an immediate blow as opener Saim Ayub was dismissed on the very first delivery of the innings. He fell to Hardik Pandya without scoring, leaving the team shaken early in the match.
Pakistan has gone with an unchanged playing XI, fielding the same lineup that secured a commanding 93-run win over Oman in their previous game.
This is the second meeting between Pakistan and India in the past six months; they last faced off during the Champions Trophy. Both sides come into this fixture in excellent form. India defeated UAE by 9 wickets in their previous Asia Cup encounter, while Pakistan emerged victorious over Afghanistan and UAE in the recent tri-nation series.
