Asia Cup 2025: ACC Confirms Venues and Full Schedule

DUBAI – Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi has officially announced the schedule, venues, and match timings for the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Naqvi confirmed that matches will be split between two premier venues: Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Key Highlights:

• Pakistan vs India showdown on September 14 in Dubai

• Final to be held on September 28 in Dubai

• All matches begin at 6 PM Gulf Standard Time, except UAE vs Oman on September 15

• Total of 8 teams, grouped into two pools

• Tournament format: T20, as a build-up to ICC T20 World Cup 2026

Tournament Format & Teams

The 2025 edition will follow a T20 format, serving as a key warm-up event for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Each group will play round-robin matches, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the Super Four stage. The top two teams from the Super Four standings will meet in the final on September 28.

• Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Cricket Stadium will host eight matches, including the opening match on September 9 and a Super Four clash on September 23.
