Aruba Mirza Reveals Painful Betrayal After Seven-Year Relationship

Tamasha Winner Aruba Mirza Breaks Silence on Past Heartbreak

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Pakistani actress and Tamasha Season 2 winner Aruba Mirza has opened up about one of the most painful experiences of her personal life, revealing how she discovered that her former fiancé had married another woman after they had been together for seven years.

Aruba made the revelation during an appearance on Mazaaqrat, hosted by Imran Ashraf, where she became emotional while discussing betrayal and relationships.

The actress said she had spent seven years in a relationship with her former partner and that marriage had always been part of their plans. According to Aruba, people close to them were also aware that the couple intended to get married, which made the eventual betrayal even more difficult to comprehend.

She discovered the Nikah through photographs

Recalling the incident, Aruba said her former partner had told her that he was travelling to Islamabad for family-related reasons while she was busy with a professional shoot.

She continued working, unaware of what was actually happening.

The situation changed when a friend contacted her and asked her to look at some photographs. Aruba said she opened the pictures and was shocked to discover that they showed her former partner’s Nikah with another woman.

The revelation left her devastated.

Aruba recalled breaking down in tears on the set, leaving her colleagues concerned. She said she was unable to explain what had happened because she was still attempting to process the shock herself.

When her makeup artist asked why she was crying, Aruba said she could not disclose the actual reason. Eventually, an excuse was reportedly given on the set that her grandmother had passed away.

Actress describes emotional impact of betrayal

Looking back, Aruba said the intensity of her reaction made it difficult to conceal how deeply she had been hurt.

She had invested seven years in the relationship and believed marriage was part of their future. Discovering that her former fiancé had married someone else came as a devastating shock.

The actress also spoke more broadly about betrayal, saying it can come from both friends and romantic partners. She described herself as someone who has experienced betrayal in both types of relationships.

At one point, Aruba used the phrase “living corpse” to describe the emotional state that can follow severe heartbreak.

By the expression, she explained how someone can continue going to work, meeting people and carrying out everyday responsibilities while feeling emotionally empty inside.

Healing takes time, Aruba says

Aruba’s account also highlighted the challenge of dealing with private emotional pain while working in the public eye.

Despite receiving deeply upsetting news, she still had to remain professional, interact with colleagues and continue working.

The actress said that life eventually moves forward and that time and friendship helped her heal from the experience.

Clips from her interview have since attracted attention on social media, with viewers expressing sympathy for Aruba and praising her openness about an experience that was clearly difficult to revisit.
