Nadeem is set to travel to England to begin preparations for the World Athletics Championships

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem clinched the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025, delivering a dominant performance with a winning throw of 86.40 meters in the final.

Nadeem’s victory was emphatic, as he outperformed a strong field and secured another major title for Pakistan. His throw not only earned him the top spot but also reaffirmed his status as one of Asia’s premier javelin throwers. He was well ahead of his closest rival, India’s Yadav, who took silver with a distance of 85.16 meters. Japan’s Sakiyama earned the bronze with a throw of 83.75 meters. Fellow Pakistani athlete Muhammad Yasir also competed in the final.
