Military Detains Former DG ISI Faiz Hameed; Court Martial Process Launched
Rawalpindi-Army’s Accountability Mechanism Transparent and Stringent: DG ISPR,Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) has reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to a stringent and transparent accountability system. The DG ISPR emphasized that the army has a robust mechanism in place to ensure accountability within its ranks.
The remarks come as army took former spymaster Lt Gen retired Faiz Hameed in the Top City case and initiated court-martial proceedings against him.
The DG ISPR has also detailed the aspects of the accountability in army during his press conference on May 7, 2024. He said there is no discrimination when it comes to accountability.
With great power comes great responsibility, the military’s spokesperson said, adding that accountability process is also stricter in this situation.
