ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Army is actively supporting the development and promotion of sports across the country, including hockey, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.
The championship final was held in Lahore, where Bacha Khan Hockey Club faced Rana Mujahid Ali Hockey Club in a closely contested match.
Bacha Khan Hockey Club Bannu emerged victorious, defeating their opponents 5–3 to clinch the tournament title. The final attracted a large gathering of hockey enthusiasts, including former Olympians, who turned up to witness the decisive encounter.

At the end of the match, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) awarded trophies and prizes to the winning team and praised the players for their performance, urging them to continue working hard.
Speaking on the occasion, a former Olympian expressed optimism about the future of hockey in Pakistan, saying the introduction of the “talent hunt” programme would play a key role in reviving the sport. He added that such tournaments provide an effective platform to discover and nurture emerging hockey talent nationwide.
