Apple to Unveil Major UI Redesign with iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16

Apple to unveil a sweeping visual refresh for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS at WWDC 2025, inspired by visionOS.

ISLAMABAD: Apple is set to introduce its most significant user interface (UI) redesign in years with the upcoming iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16, expected to be revealed at WWDC 2025 in June. The redesign promises to modernize the aesthetic of Apple’s ecosystem while maintaining the distinct identities of macOS and iPadOS.

Under the codenames “Luck” for iOS and iPadOS 19, and “Cheer” for macOS 16, key changes include:

  • New Icons & Menus: A streamlined, more intuitive interface
  • Revamped Windows & System Buttons: Enhanced usability for a smoother user experience
  • visionOS-Inspired UI: A futuristic and immersive interface design
  • Improved Cross-Device Integration: Smoother transitions between iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Despite the exciting redesign, Apple faces ongoing delays with its Apple Intelligence and Siri AI upgrades, initially expected with iOS 18.4. The delayed update has raised questions about whether it will be included in iOS 19 or further postponed.
