Anushka Sharma Makes Film Comeback After 7 Years

Anushka’s last film appearance was in Zero, where she played a dual role alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma is set to return to the big screen after nearly seven years.

According to Indian media reports, Anushka will star in a sports biographical film titled Chakda Express, which will be released on Netflix instead of cinemas.

The film’s shooting was reportedly completed several months ago, but its release was delayed due to disagreements between the production company and Netflix. The release date is expected to be announced soon.

In Chakda Express, Anushka Sharma will portray the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Jhulan, hailing from the small town of Chakdaha in West Bengal, represented the Indian women’s cricket team from 2002 to 2022.

Anushka’s last film appearance was in Zero, where she played a dual role alongside Shah Rukh Khan. This new project marks her highly anticipated return to films after a long hiatus.
