Anti-Terrorism Court Issues Seventh Non-Bailable Arrest Warrant for Aleema Khan

During the proceedings, a detailed report on Aleema Khan’s bank accounts was presented.

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued a seventh non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan in the case registered at Sadiqabad Police Station related to the November 26 protest.

The hearing of the November 26 protest case was conducted by Judge Amjad Ali Shah in the ATC. Ten accused appeared in court, but Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, did not attend. Prosecutor Zaheer Shah and his team were present, along with five prosecution witnesses.

During the proceedings, a detailed report on Aleema Khan’s bank accounts was presented. According to the report, her 12 bank accounts in various banks have been frozen, with one account containing more than PKR 12.4 million.

Two bank managers were issued arrest warrants for failing to comply with the court’s orders, while two banks received contempt of court notices for not freezing the accounts.

Prosecutor Zaheer Shah told the court that Aleema Khan was openly violating court orders and deliberately obstructing the judicial process. He requested that all records of her properties be obtained.

The court directed the DG Punjab Land Record Authority to provide details of Aleema Khan’s properties. It also sought information from the Secretary Cooperative, Senior Member Punjab Board of Revenue, Chairman CDA, and Commissioner Islamabad. The ATC additionally requested SECP records regarding her company’s registration.

Based on the prosecution’s request, the ATC once again issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Aleema Khan and adjourned the hearing until November 10.
