Honor for Pakistan as Prof. Dr. Yasmeen Iqbal selected as mentor of Commonwealth Sports Women’s Leadership Program
Lahore: Another Honor for Pakistan in Sports Field . Prof. Dr. Yasmeen Iqbal , the Head of the Department of Sports Sciences & Physical Education, University of Lahore Pakistan has been selected as a mentor for the prestigious Commonwealth Sport Women’s Leadership Program 2023-2024 in a groundbreaking development, the Department of Sports Sciences at Faculty of Alied Health Science, under the esteemed leadership of Dean Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed , has once again achieved remarkable recognition.

As part of this esteemed program, Prof. Yasmeen Iqbal served as a guiding force for her mentee, Anna Williams , representing Sierra Leone. Together, they embarked on a journey of growth, mentorship, and empowerment, embodying the spirit of collaboration and solidarity that defines the Commonwealth Sport Women’s Leadership Program. The Commonwealth Sport Women’s Leadership Program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at
supporting and empowering women from the Commonwealth on their personal development journeys towards becoming influential leaders and agents of change in the field of sports.
In the conversation with the media coordinator Perwaiz Ahmed Shaikh, Prof. Dr. Yasmin Iqbal informed that including her total of 13 women have been selected from various universities of Commonwealth countries and this is great honour for Pakistan.
