ANF seizes over 209 kg of drugs in nationwide operations, arrests seven suspects

In Pishin, the ANF made a substantial bust, confiscating 121 kg of heroin and 75 kg of morphine.

In a series of coordinated operations, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully recovered more than 209 kilograms of drugs across various locations in the country, leading to the arrest of seven individuals. The ANF Headquarters spokesman reported that the operations targeted drug trafficking activities, resulting in significant seizures and apprehensions.

Among the notable recoveries, a parcel destined for Dubai at a courier office in Rawalpindi yielded 1.760 kg of Ice. At Islamabad Airport, a Doha-bound passenger on Flight No. QR-633 was found carrying 1.2 kg of hashish. Another passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport, departing for Sharjah on Flight No. PA-412, was intercepted with 115 grams of Ice in their luggage.

In the Bostan area of Pishin, the ANF made a substantial bust, confiscating 121 kg of heroin and 75 kg of morphine. Additionally, in Peshawar, 4 kg of hashish were recovered from two suspects, while near Customs Chowk Peshawar, another 4 kg of hashish were seized from two additional suspects. Lastly, an accused near Board Bazar Peshawar was found in possession of 2 kg of hashish.

The arrested individuals are now facing cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with ongoing investigations to further uncover the networks involved. The ANF’s proactive measures demonstrate a commitment to curbing drug trafficking and maintaining the safety and well-being of the community.
