ANF Busts Drug Trafficking Ring: Seizes 48 kg Charras

RAWALPINDI – Staff Reporter: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting a raid on Thursday managed to recover 48 kg charras and arrested three women drug traffickers.
According to an ANF Headquarters spokesman, in a successful operation against drug smuggling near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, huge quantity of drug was recovered.
He informed that acting on a tip-off, a suspicious car was stopped near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza. Instead of stopping the vehicle, the accused tried to escape from the scene. The ANF team cautiously pursued the vehicle and arrested three women. During the search, 40 packets of hashish weighing 1.2 kg were recovered from the car and a total of 48 kg hashish was seized.
The spokesman said that using women and children for drug smuggling is a matter of concern. This practice is becoming normal on part of drug traffickers which is harmful to the society.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act and further investigation is under process.
