Amir Muqam requests that KP CM apologise to the public and armed forces for statements on security personnel.

Minister demands KP Chief Minister apologize for controversial remarks about Pakistan security forces.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Federal Minister Amir Muqam has called for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to issue a formal apology. He stated that the apology should be directed towards the nation and Pakistan’s armed forces. This demand comes after the Chief Minister made strong comments about security personnel.

During a recent talk, CM Afridi claimed that the respect of worship places was not upheld when security forces used sniffer dogs there. His critical statements were met with disapproval from KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi. A legal case was also filed against Afridi under cybercrime laws for his remarks.

Minister Muqam expressed that the Chief Minister’s actions are damaging the reputation of national institutions. He accused Afridi of making false claims that lower the value of these important organizations. The minister insisted that an apology is owed to the entire country and the families of martyrs.

He further stated that the Chief Minister seems unaware of the pain his words cause. Muqam suggested that such thoughtless statements please the country’s enemies. He emphasized that even a local official would show more maturity and responsibility.

The minister pointed out that a person in Afridi’s powerful position must understand that his words have wide consequences. He alarmingly claimed that the KP Chief Minister is doing work that even India could not accomplish against Pakistan.

Muqam highlighted that Indian news channels widely broadcast Afridi’s statements. He clarified that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa do not all share their Chief Minister’s views. The minister questioned whether Afridi could manage provincial security without the armed forces.

He also criticized the Chief Minister for opposing the federal government’s policy on Afghanistan. Muqam firmly stated that foreign policy is a national matter, not something for a single province to decide. He warned that allowing this could lead to other provinces making similar demands.

Finally, the PML-N leader condemned the long-term rule of the PTI party in KP. He accused them of governing with empty slogans and lies instead of real performance. Muqam lamented that the people of the province have been shown false dreams for over a decade.
