Amir Mazari advances to Millat Tractors Junior Tennis finals
Amir Mazari and other young talents shine at Millat Tractors Junior National Tennis, finals scheduled Thursday at Punjab Academy.
National Tennis Championship 2026 – (Web Desk) – Amir Mazari stole the spotlight at the Millat Tractors Junior National Tennis Championship 2026, as the tournament heads into its finals on Thursday at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah. Mazari showcased impressive form in the boys’ U-18 singles semifinal, defeating Ruhab Faisal 6-2, 6-1 to earn a spot in the final. Not stopping there, he teamed up with Faisal in the U-18 doubles semifinal, where the pair dominated Moazzam Babar and Muhammad Ahmad Afzal 6-0, 6-1.
In the other boys’ U-18 singles semifinal, Muhammad Yahya secured his place in the final with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 win over M Junaid Khan. Yahya, alongside Omer Jawad, also triumphed in the doubles semifinal, beating Bilal Awais and Rehaan Khan 6-1, 6-0. On the girls’ side, Bismal Zia reached the U-18 final after a solid 6-2, 6-4 win against Khadija Khalil, while Eesha Rabbi dominated Anaya Khan 6-0, 6-3 to secure her spot in the championship match.
In the boys U-14 category, M Junaid Khan staged a strong comeback to edge past M Ayan 2-4, 4-1, 4-1, while M Muaz of Fatima Group advanced comfortably after defeating M Ibraheem Hussain Gill 4-1, 4-0. The girls U-14 semifinals saw Eman Shahbaz and Khadija Khalil advance with straight-set wins.
Action in the U-12 events featured emphatic quarter-final victories by Muhammad Aayan, Daniyal Abdullah, and M Ibraheem Hussain Gill. In the doubles semifinals, the pairs of Muhammad Aayan/Daniyal Abdullah and Ashtar Alam Khan/Behroze Memon Wander booked their places in the final.
The girls U-12 semifinals were highlighted by impressive wins from Eman Shahbaz and Shahnoor Umer, while the U-10 quarterfinals produced competitive contests as young talents continued to impress. All finals across categories will be played on Thursday. Lt Col (R) Mukhtar Ahmed Bhatti, Deputy General Manager (Admin & Purchase), and Imran Ayub, Senior Manager Administration at Millat Tractors, will grace the prize distribution ceremony as chief guests.
