Ameer Balaj murder case: Teefi Butt was slain in a purported CCD encounter.

Prime suspect in a murder case killed a day after his extradition in a police shootout with accomplices.

Rahim Yar Khan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The main person accused of killing Ameer Balaj, Khawaja Tareef Gulshan, also known as Teefi Butt, was killed in a reported police shootout in Punjab. This happened just one day after he was brought back to Pakistan from Dubai. The incident took place in the town of Kot Sabzal, located in the Rahim Yar Khan district.

Officials from the Crime Control Department (CCD) stated that they were driving Teefi Butt to their main office in Lahore when his friends attacked the police vehicle. They were apparently trying to help him escape. This led to a gunfight, and according to the police, Teefi Butt was hit by bullets fired by his own friends during the chaos. His body has been moved to a morgue, and the police are now searching for his remaining accomplices.

Teefi Butt, along with another man named Khawaja Aqeel (Gogi Butt), was officially named in the case for the murder of Ameer Balaj. Balaj was shot and killed in a targeted attack in Lahore on February 19, 2024. After the murder, Teefi Butt quickly left the country and was declared a wanted criminal by the courts.

The Punjab Police then asked the government to start the process of bringing him back to Pakistan. After getting approval, international arrest warrants were issued. Teefi Butt was finally flown to Karachi Airport on a Thursday night and then taken to Lahore to be questioned by a special investigation team.
