Australia Captain Alyssa Healy to Retire After India Series
SYDNEY: (Web Desk) – Australia Women’s Cricket Team captain and star wicketkeeper-batsman Alyssa Healy has announced her retirement from international cricket. The 35-year-old revealed that the upcoming February-March series against India, ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, will be her final international assignment.
Speaking on the popular podcast Valo Cut, Healy said the decision came after months of careful consideration and was driven by mental fatigue and recurring injuries. She confirmed that she will not participate in the T20 Internationals against India, citing limited preparation time for the World Cup as a key factor.
