The country’s judicial news service confirmed that his death sentence was carried out. This action followed a final review and approval from Iran’s highest court.
Authorities stated that Choubi-asl was working for Israel’s Mossad spy agency. His tasks reportedly involved breaking into secure government computer systems and stealing important data. He was also accused of watching over the entry of electronic goods into the country.
In Iran, these serious crimes are known as “corruption on earth,” which can carry the death penalty. After his original conviction, his final appeal was denied, leading to the execution.
