Faisal Rathore to Highlight Tourism Potential at PTM 2026
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore met with Syed Muhammad Ali Hamdani, CEO of Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM), at Jammu Kashmir House. Hamdani invited the Prime Minister to attend Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 as a special guest, an invitation the Prime Minister graciously accepted.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister received a detailed briefing on PTM’s vision, its national impact, and continuous growth. Hamdani highlighted the role of PTM in promoting tourism nationwide, strengthening provincial representation, and establishing connections with international markets.
Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore emphasized that the Azad Kashmir government is actively encouraging investment and tourism in the region. He expressed confidence that the valley’s natural beauty will transform it into a major tourism hub in Pakistan and the wider region. He added that the government’s tourism policy offers opportunities not only for local but also international investors, creating a unique avenue for growth in Pakistan’s tourism sector.
Hamdani noted that all provinces have consistently participated in PTM, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s involvement in previous editions has been both effective and valuable. He stated that PTM 2026 will be historic, marking the first time that AJK is participating formally at the highest governmental level.

Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore will inaugurate PTM 2026 on April 3, 2026, including a special pavilion representing Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The pavilion will showcase the region’s tourism potential, cultural heritage, handicrafts, and key destinations, reflecting the strategic vision of the AJK government. He will also speak at the Sustainable Destinations Forum, sharing insights on sustainable tourism, investment opportunities, and infrastructure development for destination-based projects.
Hamdani remarked that PTM provides a unified platform to showcase Pakistan’s tourism diversity, and the participation of the AJK Prime Minister at this level is a landmark for tourism promotion, investment, and national collaboration. The event is expected to attract government representatives, destination management organizations, the hotel industry, tour operators, investors, and international buyers, making PTM 2026 the largest B2B travel trade platform in Pakistan.
