AJK PM vows to boost industrial development, create jobs
Islamabad- Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar Haq, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering industrial development in the region and ensuring maximum facilities for investors. This initiative aims to generate employment opportunities and combat unemployment. Prime Minister Haq expressed his dedication to the welfare and development of the people, emphasizing that tax money would be allocated solely for the prosperity and advancement of the region.
Despite facing various challenges, Prime Minister Haq announced efforts to reduce electricity bills and provide affordable flour to the citizens. He shared these intentions during a meeting with a delegation led by Syed Sabir Hussain Shah, President of the Mirpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present at the meeting were Principal Secretary Fayyaz Ali Abbasi and representatives of Anjuman Tajran.
Prime Minister Haq outlined steps taken to address the issues faced by the victims of the Mangala Dam and the Neelum Jhelum Hydro Project. He noted that there is now 20 cubic meters of water left in the Neelum River, which is expected to alleviate the challenges in the region. Additionally, he pledged concrete measures to curb electricity theft, ensuring it doesn’t adversely affect the common people.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Haq emphasized his focus on the critical sectors of electricity, education, and healthcare. He disclosed his plans to visit Muzaffarabad, Poonch, and Mirpur divisions in the near future to personally listen to the concerns of the people.
President Syed Sabir Hussain Shah of the Mirpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulated Prime Minister Haq for effectively representing the region at the federal level and for taking steps towards good governance, development, and prosperity in Azad Kashmir. Shah assured the Prime Minister of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s support in fostering industrial development, which, in turn, would create employment opportunities and improve the livelihoods of the people.
The delegation extended an invitation to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir to visit the Mirpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an invitation that Prime Minister Haq graciously accepted, pledging to make the visit in the near future.
